    Who is Simon Laven?
  • The Simon Laven Page > Friendly Chatterbots > Arthur

Arthur - by Ioannis Karydis, Keith Passmore, Mathew Scoines and Simon Stone.

Arthur was created as a group project and took much of its inspiration from Julia and Eliza, as the group was under a time limit it was decided decided to develop a program that showed how the Chatterbot’s ‘brain’ functions by parsing a few syntactically allowable sentences.

Written in C++ and using keyword recognition to find the most important keywords in the project and to type a pre-programmed response. There is considerable information as to how Arthur was developed, along with the chatterbot itself at at http://members.fortunecity.com/ikarydis/
